The love Grandpa had for his family was unmatchable; I can only hope to come close one day. For a large portion of my life he was my only grandparent, and he did anything and everything he could for me. Whether it be picking me up from school, sitting with me doing homework, sharing a meal at the diner and a story, or helping me with a school project - Grandpa was always there. He never said much, but I always knew he was there. He came to each and every performance of mine - and an hour early, his support undying. Over the years, he became an integral part of what I associate with home. He was one of my closest confidants. Grandpa was fundamental in the creation of who I am and for that I am eternally grateful because he instilled in me the value of kindness and devotion to your loved ones. I will always carry him in my heart. Grandpa, Im devastated to see you go, but it brings me joy to know you are finally with your wife once more.
